AIMBE MISSIONAIMBE was founded for the following
purposes
  • To establish a clear and comprehensive identity
    for the field of medical and biological
    engineering

    industry and other professional groups
  • To improve intersociety relations and cooperation
    within the field of medical and biological
    engineering
  • To serve and promote the national interest in
    science, engineering and education
  • To recognize individual and group achievements
    and contributions to the field of medical and
    biological engineering

  • The College is the core of AIMBE
  • It serves as the collective voice of AIMBE in all
    aspects of medical and biological engineering
  • Is the resource body of AIMBE
  • It considers and represents educational,
    professional, industrial, technical, historical,
    philosophical and definitional aspects of medical
    and biological engineering
  • It presents consensus in public policy issues to
    AIMBE Board of Directors
  • It supports AIMBE through Annual Fellow dues,
    contributions to Fund for Excellence, and
    expanding funding sources.

Academic Council - Council of Societies -
Industry Council
  • They serve the interests of their organizations
    within AIMBE and medical and biological
    engineering community
  • They foster inter-member dialogue, cooperation
    and harmony
  • They provide forums for the establishment of
    Council positions on public policy and other
