What is the JCI Best Business Plan Competition?

• JCIs Flagship Program started in 2001 designed
  to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among its
  members and the community in general

Who is the Competition open to?

• Young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40
• JCI Members non-members

How do I enter the JCI Best Business Plan
Competition?

• Applications should be sent ONLY IN ENGLISH
  before July 1st, using the Online Application
  forms available at the JCI website.

• Parts
• Entry Form and Executive Summary
• Upload the Business Plan
• Upload ID/Birth certificate

Judging Process

• The Competition consists of two rounds
• 1. Preliminary round
• 2. Final judging at the JCI World Congress

National Competitions

• National Organizations must register their
  national JCI Best Business Plan Competition with
  JCI World Headquarters before January 31st by
  sending an e-mail to programs_at_jci.cc

Local Competitions

• Local Organizations are encouraged to run the JCI
  Best Business Plan Competition at the Local Level
  and submit their winners to the National
  Competitions
• If the National Organization is not holding a
  competition, the winners should be submitted to
  the International Competition

Changes in 2009

• Online registration form available for national
  and local competitions
• All the documents, including the Business Plan
  must be submitted in Enlgish
• ID/Birth certificate needs to be uploaded as well
  
• Only 3 finalists will be selected on the
  international level
• For updated information please check the JCI
  website regularly

Changes in 2009

• A nominee can be nominated in only one of the 3
  main JCI programs (TOYP, BBP, CYEA) in the same
  year.
• After the deadline no nominations will be
  accepted regardless any specific circumstances
• The nominee may not be a current member of the
  Board at the International, National or Local
  levels. In addition paid staff members will not
  be considered for the JCI CYEA program.

  Social Responsability (CSR) guidelines

• From 2009 the JCI BBP program will be run as a
  cooperation with the International Chamber of
  Commerce (ICC)
• Focus will be on the cooperation between the
  Local Organizations of JCI and local Chambers of
  Commerce
