• Need for recognition of Maori uniqueness

• CFL challenge is an issue unique to Maori.

• Need for ongoing engagement
• Need for a specialist Maori Climate Change
  experts group
• Need for specific Maori case studies, modelling,
  demonstrations.
• Need Ministers top level support/direction and
  resourcing for these issues so that we can work
  through the detail.

• Ultimately a political determination required
• Need for Rangatira ki te Rangatira hui
• Note that the Ngai Tahu and other settled Iwi
  should be addressed as Treaty issues not ETS
  issues.
