Forgiveness
Only Luke reports this
4Forgiveness
"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what
they are doing" (Luke 2334).
5Kept on saying
Father forgive them
As he was laid naked and nails were driven into
his hands
6Kept on saying
Father forgive them
As the fresh wounds bled profusely to the ground
7Kept on saying
Father forgive them
As they cast lots for his garments
8Father forgive them
Kept on saying
As his lungs struggled to get air.
9Father forgive them
Kept on saying
As the intense pain set in
10but
Forgiveness is conditional

is a murderer the murderer shall be put to
death.
15Numbers 35
the congregation shall rescue the manslayer from
the hand of the avenger of blood, and the
congregation shall restore him to his city of
refuge, to which he had fled, and he shall live
in it until the death of the high priest who was
anointed with the holy oil. But if the
manslayer shall at any time go beyond the bounds
of his city of refuge to which he fled, and the
avenger of blood finds him outside the bounds of
his city of refuge, and the avenger of blood
slays the manslayer, he shall not be guilty of
blood.

and in thy heart." (Romans 108), and "that if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(Romans 10 9) For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation." This is the
basis of everything that we receive from God,
whether it is salvation, healing, financial
blessing, or divine protection.

the LORD though your sins are like scarlet, they

disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said
to his mother, Dear woman, here is your son,'

From that time on, this disciple took her into
his home" (John 1926-27).

304 5 Humanity of Jesus Incarnation
Php 26 -9 who, though he was in the form of
God, did not count equality with God a thing to
be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form
of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
And being found in human form he humbled himself
and became obedient unto death, even death on a
cross.
Jesus never took any Divine Power during his life
on earth.

Loneliness
"'Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?which means,
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
(Matthew 2746 Mark 1534).
32Jesus was fully human. Yes, he was God in the
flesh, but he was also subject to all the
feelings of mind and body that any of us feel.
Jesus spoke these words after three hours of
darkness which covered the land. Jesus hung on
the cross alone, where he took our place to feel
the pain and anguish that sin causes.
33'Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?22nd Psalm
34"Surely he took up our infirmities and carried
our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by
God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was
pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed
for our iniquities the punishment that brought
us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are
healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way and the
Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all"
(Isaiah 534-6).

Jas 214-16 What does it profit, my brethren, if
a man says he has faith but has not works? Can
his faith save him? If a brother or sister is
ill-clad and in lack of daily food, and one of
you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and
filled," without giving them the things needed
for the body, what does it profit?

Heb 57-9 In the days of his flesh, Jesus
offered up prayers and supplications, with loud
cries and tears, to him who was able to save him
from death, and he was heard for his godly fear.

through what he suffered and being made perfect
he became the source of eternal salvation to all
who obey him,
