  stages of the dissertation
• Overall impact argument, structure, quality of
  explanations and evidence.
• 2. Flow of argument and Editing topic
  sentences, transitions, signposting and
  consistency so paragraphs and chapters flow
  nicely. Copy-editing for grammar, etc

• 1. OVERALL IMPACT
• Your dissertation should
• clearly state the research question/problem and
  the thesis statement (contribution to the
  resolution of the problem)
• critically review existing literatures to
  contextualise your research and clarify the
  original and useful contribution it will make to
  your given field of scholarship.
• be situated in a larger methodological framework
  with a coherent research design. The results of
  the research must be presented in a clear and
  comprehensive format.

• 2. FLOW OF ARGUMENT EDITING
• Check that
• the thesis clearly states what it set out to do,
  does it, and concludes by outlining what the
  research shows and its implications.
• the writing style is scholarly and appropriate
  for a dissertation. It should be copy-edited for
  grammar, etc.
• explanations of tables, figures and long quotes
  are provided in the main text
• all tables and diagrams are readable and
  appropriate
• the dissertation is correctly referenced
