• Tracking changes

• Big groups who have never met each other
• Large document collaborative editing
• Document exchange (use your email!)
• Chronological information
• Groups where some people have internet access and
  some don't

What is a blog good for?

• Big groups who have never met each other
• Multiple authors sharing related but individual
  content
• Public dissemination of time-sensitive
  information
• Chronological information post about your
  upcoming events
• Publicizing a campaign keep your supporters and
  network in the loop easily
• Public compendium of resource materials and
  descriptions simple, searchable document
  repository
• Chronicling demonstrations with photos and video
• Fostering discussions and collecting public
  comments

What is a blog NOT good for?

• Collaborative editing of content
• Creating agendas or lists
• Note-taking in meetings
• Tracking membership
• Disseminating information in entirely offline
  environments

If you expect multiple authors to work on the
same content, you'll want a wiki. If you expect
multiple authors to submit content one at a time,
a blog is probably better.
