• Introduction to Biological Methods has been
  designed to introduce new students to the
  Department of Biology at Tennessee Tech
• A. biology faculty,
• B. different choices of majors,
• C. current research activities, and
• D. professional student organizations.

  are essential in advanced biology courses and in

• Grading
• 1. You will be given assignments
  throughout the semester with a number of points
  associated with each.
• 2. Assignments will be graded based upon
  the thoroughness to which the assignment is
  completed (i.e., you do what is required, you
  will receive full credit).
• 3. Assignments submitted late will have a
  deduction of 10 per day after the assigned date.
  
• Final Grades Your Final Grade will be based on
  a 10-point scale (i.e., 90 A, 80 B, 70
  C, 60 D, Below 60 F)

• Attendance  Attendance in Biol 1000 is required
  under University Policy. 
• Accommodation Request  Students with a
  disability requiring accommodations should
  contact the Office of Disability Services (ODS).
  An Accommodation Request (AR) should be completed
  as soon as possible, preferably by the end of the
  first week of the course. The ODS is located in
