• SPSS is the acronym of Statistical Package for
  the Social Sciences.
• SPSS is one of the most popular statistical
  packages which can perform highly complex data
  manipulation and analysis with simple
  instructions.

• SPSS for windows performs a wide variety of
  statistical procedures.
• Data management and analysis can be handled well
  with SPSS.
• Using SPSS we can manipulate data, make graphs
  and perform statistical techniques varying from
  means to regression.

Scope of the course

• The scope of this course is to provide a basic
  understanding of the SPSS package and data
  analysis. 
• We have both theory and practical lectures which
  will help not only to learn SPSS but also to know
  when to use which technique.

• Exam would be conducted in the end.
• Course material can be downloaded from the
  webpage.
• Sprechstunde Wednesday (14-16)

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

• Open an account in the PC labor as soon as
  possible to have access to computers
• Exam has 2 point weight
• Exam will be conducted on December 5th Monday
  from 12-1330 (room 332)
• Brushing up your old statistics lectures would
  help you to follow lectures easily
