Bible Reading Luke 736-49
Bible Reading Luke 7
2 736 Now one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to
have dinner with him, so he went to the
Pharisee's house and reclined at the table. 37
When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that
town learned that Jesus was eating at the
Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of
perfume,
3 38 and as she stood behind him at his feet
weeping, she began to wet his feet with her
tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed
them and poured perfume on them.
4 LK 739 When the Pharisee who had invited him
saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a
prophet, he would know who is touching him and
what kind of woman she is--that she is a
sinner."
5 LK 740 Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have
something to tell you." "Tell me, teacher,"
he said. LK 741 "Two men owed money to a
certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred
denarii, and the other fifty. 42 Neither of them
had the money to pay him back, so he canceled the
debts of both. Now which of them will love him
more?"
6 42 Neither of them had the money to pay him
back, so he canceled the debts of both. Now which
of them will love him more?"
7 LK 743 Simon replied, "I suppose the one who
had the bigger debt canceled." "You have
judged correctly," Jesus said. LK 744 Then he
turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do
you see this woman? I came into your house. You
did not give me any water for my feet, but she
wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with
her hair.
8 . 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman,
from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing
my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but
she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore,
I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--for
she loved much. But he who has been forgiven
little loves little."
9 748 Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are
forgiven." LK 749 The other guests began to say
among themselves, "Who is this who even forgives
sins?" LK 750 Jesus said to the woman, "Your
faith has saved you go in peace."

It doesnt seem that he invited Jesus because he
love Jesus' teaching , Cause he did not welcome
Jesus as he should.

- 2-Why did this woman came to Jesus?
- Reasons
- Come to me all ye that labor and are heavy laden
, and I will give you rest - She heard the Gospel of grace , forgiveness, she
heard Christ's teaching , - believed in Christ as her savoir ,
- so she came to express her gratitude to Jesus,
not to repent, - she already repented, she had confidence that
Christ will not reject her.

Reasons for this woman not to come to Christ 1-
I believed on Him , He is God and He already
knows that I put my trust on Him 2-Why do I need
to embarrass myself. 3-Faith is in the heart
only!! 4-I am just a sinner, unworthy 5-What
would people say about me? 6-What if they kick
me out of the house. 7-This perfume is expenssive

will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no
difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord
is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on
him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of
the Lord will be saved."

3-Faith is in the heart only!!
Bible Reading Luke 7
Our faith in Christ should be known to others,
if all the missionaries and Christians said
faith only in the heart Then what would have
happened to the world? We should let others know
about our faith and the change that Christ
did In our lives , it helps others too.

18 For you know that it was not with perishable
things such as silver or gold that you were
redeemed from the empty way of life handed down
to you from your forefathers, 19 but with the
precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish
or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation
of the world, but was revealed in these last
times for your sake. 21 Through him you believe
in God, who raised him from the dead and
glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in
God.
