5The Process
- Ocean carrier will transmit A6A (311) data at
least 24 hours prior to lading. Conveyance data
provided within 24 hours of departure of ship - Transmission will indicate whether or not Freight
Forwarder supplementary data will be provided
i.e. ultimate consignee, precise description of
goods, shipper, etc. - Freight forwarder data to be provided must be at
least 24 hours prior to lading - If no freight forwarder data applicable, carrier
must provide details - Within 24 hours of estimated time of lading
Carrier (and Freight forwarder, if applicable)
will receive either - No Load Message- Wait For Instructions From
Foreign Agency - No Load Message- Additional Detail Required
- Nothing- this means loading can proceed
