Making a laminated Acrylic Key Fob

Start by choosing some scrap pieces of acrylic

Next cut them into pieces about 65 x 35mm You
will need about 7 pieces

Select a suitable order for the colours

Peel off the protective film.

Prepare for gluing by keying all surfaces that
are in contact.

Use Tensol Cement to glue the block together

Clamp the block together in the Vice
Use a paper towel to protect the vice from any
drips of glue

File the top of the block level.

Now use Wet Dry to polish that face.

Finally apply a little acrylic polish to the face
and polish with a soft cloth

Your Teacher will use the band saw to cut a thin
slice off the block for you.

Now repeat the File / Wet Dry / Polish stages
on the second side.

Square both ends and file off any excess

Use a pencil to mark out a simple design

File to shape

File, Wet Dry then Polish the edges

Mark out the position for the hole.

Carefully drill the hole with a 4.5mm drill

Finally, Fit the split ring
