What do we do there?

• We go to perform our music
• We go to have fun as a group
• We go to see the sights
• We go to make memories
• We go to build unity in our groups

Tell us about the performance?

• We will be competing against other Middle School
  Bands and Orchestras
• Trophies are given if we score high enough
• There will be three judges
• Trophies may also go to the best overall group at
  the competition
• Groups work all year toward this competition
  lets get busy!

Do we perform anywhere else?

• We will stop at the University of Illinois and
  have the chance to work with some professors and
  graduate students there!
• We may also be able to have a concert exchange
  with a school in or near Branson
• We might be able to play on stage at one of the
  shows in Branson

Great, what else do we do there?

• Perform in a competition against other middle
  schools
• Enjoy an amusement park
• Eat dinner on a show boat cruise
• Visit the Dixie Stampede
• Visit the Titanic Museum
• Stay three nights in a hotel

Cool how do we get there?

• Travel on a coach bus
• The bus has
• Soft seats that recline
• A video/DVD player
• TVs so everyone can see the movies
• Bathrooms

How many are in a room?

• Each room will have four students
• You may pick your own roommates
• Choose carefully Mr. Stenzel and Mr. Broach may
  make changes, if needed

Will there be a pool?

• YES! Free time at the pool!

• Dixie Stampede
• Showboat Branson Belle
• Titanic Museum
• Silver Dollar City

What is the Dixie Stampede?

• Like Medieval Times, but in a Civil War setting
• horses, carriages, Buffalo, Ostrich races, music,
  dancing, singing, no silverware

Any other attractions?

• Showboat Branson Belle a dinner cruise with a
  spectacular and funny show featuring talking
  dogs, singing, dancing, acrobats and more!

Great what else?

• Titanic Museum over 400 artifacts are on
  display. Touch an ice wall, climb the grand
  staircase, feel the cold of that fateful night in
  1912

Silver Dollar City

• An Amusement park with lots of shows, rides, a
  cave, roller coasters, shops, etc. A great time
  for everyone!

How much will it cost?

• About 500 each
• Most students have done fundraising in the past
  and this can be applied to the total cost.
• Two years ago the average cost after
  fundraising was 380
• Some students didnt have to pay anything at all
  since they had done fundraising

What about Souvenirs?

• Everything on the trip is included in the cost,
  except for
• Souvenirs at the shows or shops
• Dixie Stampede, Titanic museum shops, etc.
• Hotel Game Room
• Video games, pool table, etc.
• You do not have to bring any extra money if you
  dont want to

What fundraisers are there?

• October November
• Poinsettia sales for band
• Cookie Dough for orchestra
• February
• Candy and Nuts Fundraiser

When do we go?

• April 30 - May 4
• Thursday through Sunday
• Yes, youll miss one school day (Thursday).
• Friday of that week is an institute day so there
  is no school.

Do we all get to go?

• Yes We hope everyone is able to participate.
  We understand the cost could keep some from
  coming along, but if that is an issue, please
  talk to us we may be able to help.
