Stepladder
  • Inspect ladder before use.
  • Lock spreader into place
  • Designed to be used only in open position.
  • Never reach too far from the ladder. Climb down
    and move ladder.

Safe Stepladder Setup
  • Ladder feet level on solid surface
  • No loose, broken or missing parts
  • No wet or slippery treads or rungs
  • Make sure steps are clean and dry
  • Wear slip-resistant footwear.

  • Test ladder to see if it is wobbly.
  • Non-metal side-rails when working around
    electricity
  • Never paint any ladder, it could hide defects.

  • Never climb onto the top two rungs. If you need
    to climb higher get a longer ladder.
  • Never carry material or tools up or down a
    ladder.

  • Ladder bottom ¼ of ladder height from wall.
  • Ladder should extend at least 3 feet above edge
    of roof edge.
  • Do not step on top 4 rungs of ext. ladder.
  • Dry hands, shoes, rungs.

  • Fall protection is not necessary or required
    unless the tailing has been removed.
  • Articulating telescoping boom lift.
  • Fall protection is required due to potential for
    being bounced out of lift or from climbing out
    basket.

  • Do not raise platform in windy or gusty
    conditions
  • Do not travel to job location with lift in
    elevated position
  • Do not use lift with railing removed

  • Do not use near power lines, junction boxes, etc.

  • Taking an extra minute or two may prevent you

  • Wheels and outriggers blocked and/or cribbed as
    necessary
  • Awareness of and clearance from overhead
    electrical hazards
  • Warm-up period followed by safe test of hydraulic
    system
