Marr Cellars- Cuvee Selena 16.00 A blend of
Grenache, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Viognier,
Zinfandel, and Carignane. This California Rhone
Blend features a fruit forward aroma along with a
touch of baked spices. The palate has a deep,
full, mouth feel featuring a rich, core of dark,
ripe loganberries, plums and blackberries
followed by a touch of cassis leading to softer
tannins and long, lingering finish. Marr
Cellars- 05 Syrah- CA. 22.00 This wine
exhibits aromas of vine ripened berries over a
background of sweet wood smoke. The rich forward
palate of dark stone fruit with hints of tropical
spices, caramel and citrus followed by a lengthy
finish of soft expansive tannins. Marr Cellars
03 Petite Sirah- Tehama Foothills 26.00 This
wine exhibits aromatic notes of fresh berries and
tropical spices followed by a rich, fruit forward
palate with a touch of pepper and lengthy finish
of softer tannins. The grapes were selected from
mature vines plated on arid volcanic
slopes. Marr Cellars 04 Zinfandel- Sonoma
County 22.00 This Zinfandel exhibits full,
rich, varietal character balance by a touch of
spice and softer tannins for a lengthy finish.
The grapes were selected from three different
vineyard blocks for their distinct components.
The vines were meticulously maintained for lower
production yields. The wine was aged in French
and American cooperage for 16months with minimal
handling. Marr Cellars 05 Zinfandel- Mattern
Ranch 23.00 This wine exhibits dense aromas,
rich bright fruit character on the palate
finishing with lingering spice and soft tannins.
The grapes for this Old Vine Zinfandel are from
Mattern Ranch located in the upland area
southeast of Ukiah, Mendocino County. The low
yielding cines were planted in well drained soils
prior to 1935. This wine has 16 months in French
and American barrels. Marr Cellars- 04 Petite
Sirah-CA. 25.00 This wine exhibits aromatic
notes of fresh berries and tropical spices
followed by a rich, fruit forward palate with a
touch of pepper and lengthy finish of softer
tannins. The grapes were selected from mature
vines planted on arid volcanic slopes. The wine
was aged in French and American oak for 16
months. Marr Cellars- 05 Petite Sirah- Lake
County 25.00 This wine exhibits a bouquet of
ripe dark fruit over a background of sweet
smokehouse aromas. The full, rich, jammy palate
is followed by an expansive, lengthy finish of
soft, chalky tannins. This Petite Sirah is from
Shannon Ranch, a high altitude, low yielding
vineyard that provides focused, concentrated
flavors.
