  • This is grammar essential applies when you are
    using a direct object pronoun and an indirect
    object pronoun in the same sentence with the same
    verb phrase.
  • If the above is not in your sentence, then this
    does not apply.

  • When using both object pronouns, the indirect
    always comes before the direct.
  • Usually they happen together as a unit.

  • When doubling the pronouns, you can never have
    l-l together in the grouping.
  • Les lo can never happen.
  • If it is l-l, the first indirect object changes
    to se to avoid the repetition of the l sound.
  • Les lo would be se lo.

  • When you have a double object pronoun and a verb
    phrase, you can attach them.
  • When you attach them, you double them up with the
    indirect object pronoun first and the direct
    object pronoun second.
  • When you attach 2 object pronouns, you need to
    add an accent to the infinitive in the syllable
    that would normally carry the stress (usually the
    syllable before the infinitive ending).
