Sunday, July 22 - Depart Lafayette, La Monday,
July 23 Arrive Paris 1105 and transfer to
hotel by bus. Free time to rest or visit
Paris. Late afternoon - Lay wreath at La
Fayettes burial place. Evening Special dinner
in Montmartre with representatives of FLFA..
Overnight in Paris
Tuesday, July 24 Visit the statue of Washington
and La Fayette near our hotel. Travel to the
Château de Breteuil, picnic lunch on the chateau
grounds, visit château and gardens. Evening
dinner at the restaurant Le Train Bleu, one of
the most famous train station restaurants in
France. Overnight in Paris.
Wednesday, July 25 Visit the Château de
Versailles where La Fayette read the Declaration
of the Rights of Man and the Citizen. Evening
private cocktail hosted at the home of Count
Gonzague Saint Bris, author of the recently
published book La Fayette. Overnight in Paris.
Thursday, July 26 Free Time to visit Paris on
your own. Overnight in Paris

Friday, July 27 Travel by bus to Le
Puy-en-Velay. Visit Bourges on way. Evening
Dinner in Le Puy-en-Velay with the Auvergne
Chapter of FLFA. Overnight in Le Puy-en-Velay
Saturday, July 28 Morning - participate in the
open-air marché that takes place every Saturday
in Le Puy-en-Valey. Lunch on your own. Afternoon
visit the Château de Chavaniac where La Fayette
was born. on September 6, 1757. Participate in
the La Belle Journee festival held in nearby
Langeac in honor of the Marquis de La Fayette.
Overnight in Le Puy-en-Velay. Sunday, July 29
Visit of Langeac and participation in La Belle
Journee festival to celebrate the moment when
Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier
became the Marquis de La Fayette. Overnight in Le
Puy-en-Valey.
Monday, July 30 Depart Le Puy-en-Valey for
Poitiers. Evening Reception at City Hall.
Overnight in Poitiers Tuesday, July 31 - Travel
to Rochefort to visit the construction site of
lHermione, the frigate on which La Fayette
sailed to America. Also visit the Royal Rope
Factory located next to the Hermione construction
site. Dinner and overnight in Poitiers. Wednesday,
August 1 Return to Paris. On way, stop at Le
Clos Lucé, the chateau where Leonardo Da Vinci
lived the latter part of his life. Our visit will
be led by Count Gonzague Saint Bris. Dinner and
overnight at hotel near Paris airport. Thursday,
August 2 Return to Lafayette from Charles De
Gaulle Airport
