  • Open the wing

  • Go to the assembly menu
  • Open a new part in context

  • Rotate the drawing so you are looking at the
    side of the wing using the keyboard arrows.
  • Click on the workplane selector
  • Use shift H to see all the workplanes on the
    same screen

  • Select the lateral workplane by clicking on it
    twice once you have selected the workplane
    selector.

  • Go to the workplane menu
  • Create a new sketch
  • Change the name to wheel support
  • Click filled and make sure the lateral workplane
    is selected.
  • Click o.k.

  • Use shift Z to zoom in on the area where the
    support will go under the wing.

  • Draw a circle using the circle tool

  • Draw another circle inside the larger one

  • Select the dimension tool
  • Click on the smaller circle and drag a dimension
    to the side

  • Click twice on the dimension and change it to a
    radius of 1.5mm or diameter of 3mm.

  • Click on the shape selector.
  • Drag a box over both circles by holding the left
    hand button down when moving the mouse.
  • Click on the concentric circle button.

  • Select the dimension tool and add a dimension to
    the outer circle.
  • Select it and change it to a radius of 2.5mm or
    diameter of 5mm.

  • Select the line tool
  • Start drawing the lines to make up the sides

  • Make sure you position the start of the next
    line on the square black handle of the previous
    one.

  • Link up the final line with the circle

  • Click on the segment deletion tool
  • Select the top part of the circle with it
  • Press enter to delete.

  • The shape should fill

  • Add a central triangle of joined lines as for the
    outer triangle.
  • Select the lines and move along each to pick up
    the corner handles, they will increase in size
  • Hold down the left button over the handle and
    reposition the corners so the centre triangle is
    equally spaced.

  • The support should look like this

  • Rotate the sketch using the arrows so you can see
    it from the side

  • Click on extrude
  • Check add material is selected.
  • Drag the handle until the distance is 3mm

  • Spin the drawing using the keyboard arrows
  • Zoom in using shift Z
  • Select the bottom edge using the edge selector.

  • Select round edge

  • Drag the radius using the yellow handles or type
    in a radius.
  • Click on o.k.

  • Spin the shape using the arrows
  • Select the edge selector
  • Select one of the top inner corners
  • Press and hold shift then select the other.

  • Click on round edges
  • Use the yellow handles to drag the radius to
    size.
  • Click on o.k.

  • Save the wheel structure to the plane file
