Start date of the project

• Earliest the day after the approval by the
  Steering Committee (end June 2006)
• Latest no later than December 2006
• The starting date of the project is fixed by the
  first incurred costs.
• The end date is calculated based on this date.

Appointing the project co-ordinator and the
financial project manager.

Co-operation agreement

• Agreement between the project partners on the
  duties and obligations of each partner.

Decision making procedures in the project

• Structures for decision making
• Steering Group
• Day-to-day management

Other practical things to agree beforehand

• Who will pay for what?
• Who will organise what (procurement procedures,
  contracts, events, etc)?

Reporting

• Keep very good track of the activities and
  payments, which are to be reported.
• Mark the checks (which Work Package, which Budget
  Line)
• Take the minutes, lists of participants, travel
  reports, pictures, videos, etc.
• Consult the auditors beforehand.

Progress report (1)

• One report for both activities and financies.
• Based on the Application Form, therefore some
  fields are pre-filled.
• Follows on how the project is proceeding
  (activities, outputs, results, expenditure).
• The better planning work you have done, the
  easier to fill in the progress reports.

Progress report (2)

• Reporting periods
• March 1 - August 31
• September 1 - February 28
• In some cases longer or shorter reporting
  periods.
• Final report at the end of the project.
