  • On September 18th 2004 at 612pm (Thursday) in
Mobile county, Mobile, AL, in local zone 3 on
highway 90 and Schillinger Rd., James Terraphio
(age 34) was traveling eastbound when he fell
asleep behind the wheel and veered into oncoming
traffic. Eric Daniels was traveling westbound
and swerved to avoid Mr. Terraphios red 2001
    Nissan Maxima (VIN WE48587HT8RT65HH). Mr.
Daniels blue 1997 Kia Sonata (VIN
VGFDD874R1G8754R8F) fell into a ditch on the side
of the road and sustained a broken headlight and
a badly dented right fender. Mr. Terraphios
Maxima skidded and caromed off of a guard rail,
denting his right fender and scratching the
entire right side of his vehicle.
  • Mr. Terraphios has an Alabama drivers
license, number 23417821. He works at Uhaul and
his insurance is with Geiko (policy number
0145287). Mr. Daniels has an Alabama drivers
license, number 52118170. He works for United
Airlines and his insurance is through State Farm
    (policy number 6556898). Neither driver
displayed any signs of driving under the
    influence.
  • The Alabama Uniform Traffic Crash Report will
be entered into an Alabama Drivers Database
through the web forms designed in the project.
These forms will capture all of the data
indicated on the paper copy of the AUTCR. The
database will reside on a distributed server
environment, each with dual 3Gig processors and 4
160GB hard drives. The servers will reside in
different parts of the state, equally divided
    between Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, and
    Mobile Alabama.
