• Promote a checklist for sustainable construction
• Encourage all Assembly led partnerships to
  develop appropriate climate change mitigation and
  adaptation measures within their projects
• Regional Assembly to be the accountable body for
  promoting priority action across the region

WEST MIDLANDS CLIMATE CHANGE DECLARATION

• Signed at the NEC 30th November, 2006
• Declaration commits the Regional Assembly to
• Delivering the UK Climate Change programme
• Reducing CO2 emissions resulting from Assembly
  work
• Developing an action plan to address the causes
  and impacts of climate change
• Encouraging all regional Concordat partners to
  mitigate and adapt to climate change

• Working with AWM to publish a regional
  sustainability checklist for planners and
  developers
• Regional Rural Affairs Forum Conference to
  determine a rural response to climate change
  November, 2006
• Regional Partnership meetings requested to
  consider climate change as a priority at the
  earliest opportunity
