part of your referee etiquette - If you have any issues or concerns please address
them to John or Mary
21Pregame
- Talk to your crew and let them know what you as

indirect free kick at where the attacker
encroached for the defending team. - Defender encroaches and goal is scored, allow
goal, if saved retake the pk. - If both attacker and defender encroach retake
pk.
27Referees, Assistant Referees and Fourth
Officials
- Celebration of a Goal
- New Text
- A player must be cautioned when
- he covers his head or face with a mask or other
similar item
28USSF Advice to Referees
- This change in the Law is intended only to extend
the existing provision that a player who removes
the jersey or uses the jersey to cover the head
as part of a goal celebration has committed
misconduct and is to be cautioned.
29Signal to indicate the foul was inside the
penalty area.
Also to indicate on a penalty kick that the
keeper moved early.
30Cautions and Send offs!!
31Cautions and Send Offs
- You must fill in cautions and ejections on the
game form. - All red cards require a separate misconduct form
and need to be sent into the office fir a and d
issues. - Failure to do so within 48 hours means you will
not be assigned any further games and you are
guilty of referee misconduct
32Why??
- All Red cards Coach, Spectator, Player require a
misconduct report. - Why? So that the A and D Panel can deal with
them. - Hearings take place within a week or 2 of the red
cards taking place. - You do not need to attend provided you have
provided a detailed report. - Keep it factual and keep your emotions out of it.
