  Self-Organizing Maps concepts).

  semi-static algorithms Hoffman, Ziv-Lempel,
  Arithmetic)
• Automatic indexing (lexical options)
• Controlled v.s. uncontrolled vocabulary
• Regular and weighted Boolean queries
• Similarity measures and retrieval models

  charts (similar to the in-class competition
  task).
