Atlas Banner Systems Administration

• To access the Atlas Banner System, type
  http//webforms into Internet Explorer
• Click on the link Production Database PROD
• Enter your username and password

• Banner requires you to change your password once
  every 90 days.

  name of the person.
• If you only know part of a name, enter what you
  can and substitute the rest with a

  (if any) will appear.

Schedule Section Query FormSSASECQ

• Allows you to search for a class based on
  specific criteria
• Enter Term Code (Ex. 200520), Subject (Ex. MAC),
  Campus (Ex. OC)
• You may also enter Course Number, Schedule Type,
  or Instructional Method to further narrow down
  the results
• Click Execute Query to list classes that meet
  that criteria

• View a students schedule by Term (Ex. 200520)
• May not print out for students under normal
  circumstances

Student Registration Permit OverrideSFASRPO

• Viewing their overrides through Atlas is more
  advisable

Scenarios

• Scenario A student is attempting to setup an
  Atlas account. After clicking Submit, the
  student receives an error stating The
  information you have provided does not match our
  records. How do you assist the student using
  Banner?

• Answer First, check to make sure the student is
  entering his/her VID or SSN correctly. Next,
  verify the students information in Banner using
  SPAPERS to check the spelling of his/her name,
  and/or date of birth.

• Scenario A student has forgotten his/her
  username. How can you look up his/her username
  in Banner?

• Answer First, verify the students identity by
  asking to see a picture ID. Next, use GOATPAC in
  Banner to obtain his/her username. You might
  also use Admin in Atlas to find out this
  information.

• Scenario A student wishes to setup an Atlas
  account, but is unsure as to whether they can or
  not. How can you can find out in Banner if they
  can setup their account or not?

• Answer Using the SGASTDN form, verify if the
  students Status is listed as Active or not.

• Scenario A student has lost his/her schedule and
  is late to class. The student has his/her
  Valencia ID card in his/her hand. What form can
  you use to find the room number to their next
  class?

• Answer SFAREGQ provides a copy of the students
  current class schedule, and may be used to find
  information that would be on their schedule.
  However, you should not print out their schedules
  from within Banner.
