Finances and Profits
- Build knowledge and understanding of criminal
finances - Mainstream money laundering and proceeds of crime
activity throughout UK law enforcement and

organised criminals - Drive continuous improvement of the SARs Regime
- Support domestic and international partners in

Heroin - Objectives
- To build knowledge and understanding of the
upstream heroin trade - Develop bilateral and multi-national strategies
and operational plans for tackling serious
organised criminals - To gather information on and assess the use of
new and emerging routes - Support and capitalise on the NATO military
deployment to Afghanistan - Support the heroin signature project
- Contribute to the delivery of the EU drugs action
plan

- Build knowledge and understanding
- Develop bilateral and multi-national strategies
and operational plans for tackling key serious
organised criminals operating in The Netherlands
and near continent - Review and develop information sharing and
collaborative working arrangements with the Dutch

in or with criminal links to The Netherlands and
Spain - Contribute to the delivery of the EU Drugs Action
Plan - Build knowledge and understanding of synthetic
drugs manufacture and supply, focusing on China

Drugs Trade in the UK
- To build knowledge and understanding of the
illegal drugs trade in the UK, with a view to an
overall reduction in the size of the UK drugs
market - Focus intelligence collection on the production,
processing, trafficking, distribution, dealing
and use of all illicit drugs and cutting agents
causing harm to the UK - Identify, build on collaborative ways of working
with partners including ACPO, ACPOS, SCDEA, HMRC
and Health Education - Identify money flows in relation to the illicit
drugs trade in the UK - Identify and target serious organised criminals
involved in the illegal drugs trade in the UK - To support partner agencies in developing
preventative measures and targeted campaigns
