The mission of CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls School is
the creation of a Christ-centred school community

reference to the need of the pupils who are
disadvantaged in any way.

  • organise their steps and working more

  • exercise more caution and to learn to check their
    work (eg. work backwards)
  • learn to use model-drawing to help them
    understand the more challenging word problems

  • Pupils are not able to apply knowledge and
    concepts learnt
  • Pupils have learnt that air can be
  • compressed.
  • Many cannot apply this concept
  • when tested.
  • Eg Study the diagram shown
  • Many stated that the amount
  • of air inside the container is
  • 530cm³ if we pump in 30 cm³
  • more air.

  • Pupils are not able to draw conclusions from the
    given information.
  • Pupils did not revise topics learnt regularly.
    (Reflected in the fluctuating results for Pop
    quizzes.)
  • Pupils need to answer the question being asked.
    Do not give answers that are too general.

  • Pupils need to constantly review basic facts
    taught in class
  • 2. When answering Science questions, pupils
    need to
  • read the questions carefully
  • underline the key word(s), if any
  • analyse the data/information given
  • NOT jump to conclusions
  • take time to explain their thoughts clearly and
    carefully
