How we can analize advertisements

• Find three advertisements from the magazines or
  papers. All of them have to connect love and
  consumption also as a metaphore.
• Analize the advertisements
• Write three articles ( one for each)

TEXT

• How much of the whole advertisement is the text?
• Can you see text on the picture?, when is it
  placed?
• How is the language? slogans, scientific words,
  pursuasive text, friendly speaking,
  information...
• Function Which meanig has the text in
  relationship to the pictures? addition,
  surprising...

When you have answered the questions, ask again
Why?

THE PICTURES

• What do you see in the pictures?
• Do any of the things have a symbolic meaning?
• Which colours dominates the pictures?
• Do they have a symbolic meaning?

And now, ask again, why?

THE CONSTRUCTION
MESSAGE

• Is the advertisement a part of a series of ads?
• Which values does the advertisement represent?

• How are things placed in relationship to one
  another?

• Does the pictures tell a story about what has
  happened before the situation and what will
  happen after the situation?
• If yes, tell the story

EVALUATION

• Has the advertisement the wanted effect? Do you
  want to buy it?
• Do you identify with the values of the
  advertisement?
• Is the advertisement well produced?
