TURNED ON - PRESENT POSITION MAY BE ENTERED
- 2. SURVEY MODE NORMAL OPERATING MODE
- AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED WHEN INITIALIZATION IS
COMPLETE - ZERO VELOCITY UPDATES (ZUPT) COMPUTER PROMPTED
OR OPERATOR PROMPTED
13SYSTEM OPERATING PROCEDURES
THE OPERATOR CAN INTERACT WITH MAPS FROM TWO
POSITIONS 1. INSIDE THE CAB OF THE HOST
VEHICLE 2. AT THE REAR OF THE ANTENNA
TRAILER TO MOVE FROM ONE POSITION TO THE OTHER
WITHOUT LOSING DATA OR CAUSING AN ABNORMAL
SHUTDOWN, SIMPLY DISCONNECT FROM ONE AND HOOKUP
TO THE OTHER WITHOUT TURNING THE POWER OFF. THIS
ALLOWS FOR CONTINUOUS DATA GOING FROM SITE TO
CONVOY AND VICE VERSA
14ALIGNMENT MODE
- ALIGNMENT MODE CONSISTS OF SYSTEM POWER UP, BUILT
IN TESTS AND INITIALIZATION - POWER UP
- ENSURE RADAR IS STOPPED OVER A KNOWN POINT
- ENSURE MAPS HAS POWER APPLIED
- ACTIVATE THE SYSTEM BY PRESSING THE ON KEY
- WATCH DISPLAY FOR SYSTEM RESPONSE
- RECEIVES POWER FROM DRU
15ALIGNMENT MODE
- AS THE SYSTEM IS COMING UP, IT IS TESTING THE
COMM LINKS BETWEEN THE VARIOUS PARTS OF MAPS - PASS OR FAIL WILL DISPLAY FOR EACH COMPONENT
- IF THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS, VMS PASSED AND GPS
PASSED WILL BE DISPLAYED
16- EXAMPLES OF FAIL MESSAGES ARE SHOWN AT RIGHT
- THE RDU AUTOMATICALLY ENTERS THE INITIALIZATION
ROUTINE IF THERE ARE NO FAULTS WITH THE BUILT IN
TESTS
17- INITIALIZATION ROUTINE
- LAST KNOWN DATA IS USED IF NO KEYS ARE PRESSED
WITHIN 2 MINUTES. ALL ENTRIES ARE CHECKED FOR
REASONABLENESS - SELECT SPHEROID FROM THE MENU USING THE ?KEY
AND PRESS ENTER
18- INITIALIZATION ROUTINE
- ENTER SITE GRID ZONE AND PRESS ENTER
- ENTER SITE UTM EASTING AND PRESS ENTER
19- INITIALIZATION ROUTINE
