612 Architectural Firm

• A valued customer has asked you to design and
  build a model for the tallest, sturdiest, and
  most attractive office building possible.
• There will be a number of companies vying for
  this contract.
• You are asked to build a model and prepare for 3
  minute presentation on the model and the process
  you used to come to a decision in your group.
• You have 30 minutes to work on the task.
• Criteria for judging
• 95 of construction material must be index
  cards (or part of)
• The tallest building will win the competition
  with the following conditions
• The model must stand for the entire duration of
  your presentation
• It must pass the wind test (2 stage wind testing)
• It must pass the earthquake test (2 stage
  earthquake testing)
• You cannot use artificial means to support the
  building (e.g., tapes)
