• 2. STRUCTURE AND RESOURCES
• get representation from Social Care,
  modernisation Leads
• clarify remit / terms of reference of Board
  clarify relationships with individual Trust and
  existing groups e.g. LIS groups determine
  support available from Board Programme Director
  to individual organisations projects
• plan more carefully resources required to deliver
  programme, identify gaps in existing resource and
  solutions

• 3.      DELIVERY PROGRAMME 
• oversee delivery of 2003/04 projects funded from
  national money (subject to clarification of
  funding re GP Contract issue - see below)
• deliver 'quick wins' including outstanding LIS
  projects such as Pathology links
• agree resourcing of Herefordshire pilot if/when
  agreed
• determine role re e-booking, information
  governance, ETD, knowledge management, clinical
  governance/NSFs and any other related areas
• determine how programme could support specific
  clinical priorities
• determine where new strategy/strategies required
  and linkage to service strategies

• 4.      PREPARE FOR LSPs
• develop a clinical group ready and skilled to
  work with LSPs when appointed
• prepare to agree Year 2/3 expenditure plans by
  July 2003 determine how Trusts can raise
  recurrent revenue spend on IT to required levels
• carry out good practice stocktake and promote
  sharing

• 5.      LEAD THE IT WORKFORCE
• clarify the medium term role of the existing IT
  workforce once LSPs appointed
• create development opportunities and associated

  Contract
• BUT 26.5m discretionary fund will be added to
  this pot
• SO 186.5m nationally and no separate
  discretionary fund
• REVISED BIDS WILL BE REQUESTED
