Introduction to BMC Remedy AR System

• Remedy Action Request System (also known as
  Remedy, AR System and ARS) is a Client-server
  software application development environment from
  BMC Software.
• Action Request System uses a third party
  database (Sybase, MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc) for
  storing data in tables.
• Action Request System has an open API, a feature
  which allows users to create custom client tools
  and scripts that talk directly to the Action
  Request System.

BMC Remedy User Tool

• Remedy User is a client software application
  which allows the user to interact with the AR
  system based applications. With this software an
  user can SUBMIT, MODIFY and SEARCH recordswithin
  AR system.
• Remedy users allow users to record macros, user
  defined variables to automate repetitive tasks
• The client can connect to any number of servers
  and can push and pull information from one server
  to the next.

• Used to create and modify forms and workflow
  object and manage system configuration.

BMC Remedy Mid Tier

• Remedy Mid-tier is a server component in the AR
  System.
• It is designed to serve AR Applications and
  related items across the internet and make them
  accessible for web based clients.
• Mid-tier connects to an AR Server that contains
  the applications and related workflow
• It translates client requests, interprets
  responses from the server, handles web service
  request and runs server side process.
• Typical clients of mid-tier are web browsers and
  web service based applications.
