Motivation

• Make development of web information systems (WIS)
  more easy
• Standardize behavior and layout of the whole
  information system
• Generate base documentation
• Eliminate continual reimplementation of
  information systems

Solution

• It is necessary to generate the whole IS and
  documentation from the small subset of input data
  (represented by structured analysis)
• Suggested way data are represented by metadata
  and transformations above them

Problems to solve

• Finding appropriate metadata language that
  describes DDL by DML operations
• Finding the typical operations that are used in
  common WIS
• Break down these operations to simple
  transformations
• Create the generator of WIS

Template system

• Language and implementation of classical ERD
  without DDL
• Each real object is represented by the base
  relation, properties are stored in the template
  of attributes
• DDL are operated by DML above the base relations
  and templates

Typical operations

• Nowadays we have described about 20 complex
  operations like authentization, permission
  system, delegates, forms, reports, printing etc.
• More detailed information about this work is
  published in the final paper in proceedings of
  this conference

Outlook

• At present we carry on
• description of further processes (e.g.
  personalization)
• fragmentation described operations to simple
  transformations
• implementation of the generator
• designing metasystem for development of generated
  WIS
