Class preparation
  • Discuss use and prepare lessen plans with other
teachers preferably on your same grade level

ideas about what students can do

Laptop Battery Tips
  • It is important to condition (fully discharge and
then fully charge) the battery every two to three
weeks. Failure to do so may significantly shorten
    the battery's life.
  • To discharge, simply run your device under the
battery's power until it shuts down or until you
    get a low battery warning.
  • It is normal for a battery to become warm during
    charging and discharging.
  • A charged battery will eventually lose its charge
    if unused.
  • It may therefore be necessary to recharge the
    battery after a storage period.
  • How Can I Maximize My Laptop Battery Performance?
  • There are several steps you can take to insure
that you get maximum performance from your laptop
    battery
  • Preventing the Memory Effect - Keep your battery
healthy by fully charging and then fully
discharging it at least once every two to three
    weeks.
  • Exercise Your Battery - Do not leave your battery
dormant for long periods of time. We recommend
using the battery at least once every two to
three weeks. If a battery has not been used for a
long period of time, perform the new battery
    break in procedure described above.

Important Lease Notes
  • The Hazleton Area School District is implementing
a 5 year Technology Refresh Program
  • This allows for HASD to replace equipment every 5
    years
  • Our best option was to lease the equipment
therefore maintaining it will be very important
  • The initial lease carries a one year manufacture
    warranty
  • At the end of the 5 years the equipment will be
    turned back in working condition
  • Normal wear and tear is acceptable, but any major
damage will be the responsibility of HASD
