Grade Reading
Forty percent of the 3rd grade students tested
met the Reading Standards. There was a decrease
in the percentage of students meeting the Reading
standard from 54 on AIMS 2006 to 40 on AIMS
2007.

There was a significant increase of students
meeting the Writing standard from 48 on AIMS
2006 to 69 on AIMS 2007.

math, with a 67 of students meeting the math
standard. The 4th grade students tested on AIMS
2007 did very well compared to performance on

The 5th grade Reading performed outstanding with
a 23 increase of students meeting the Reading
standard from the previous school year.

  • Reteach, review performance objectives, and
    concepts not mastered
  • District collaboration of full alignment of
    curriculum maps, assessments, and instruction.
    Each grade and subject needs to be represented on
    Vertical curriculum and assessment teams.
  • Full buy-in approach to meeting AYP standards and
    improving academic performance on AIMS by school
    administrators, teachers and parents.
