Charge Exchange Processes

• We want to use the Brown-Buchner Spectrograph to
  look at Charge State Distributions in solids and
  gases, including cross-sections measurements.
• We will use common foils like gold and carbon to
  more commercial ones like Mylar or perhaps
  something even more exotic.
• We will use this information to evaluate stopping
  powers potentially formulate empirical
  corrections all leaning toward our use of running
  our Spectrograph in a gas-filled mode.
• Our first example of gas-filled mode will be an
  isobar separation of 58Ni 58Fe.
