Appearance and Habitat

• 15 inches tall.
• It weighs between two to four Ibs.
• Its the worlds smallest penguin.
• It has a gray-blue tuxedo.
• They are noisy neighbors
• Totally nocturnal.
• These penguins are not travelers.
• Sometimes they will burrow their home under a
  house

Chicks and eggs

• They lay 1 or 2 eggs
• Both chicks tend to survive
• The chicks are a dark gray brown
• The chicks feed from their parents
• Both parents take turns for 5 weeks
• After 8 weeks the chick is ready to swim

Interesting facts

• Its easy to see them from land
• They feed in shallow water
• They hunt small fish and squid in shallow water
• Little Blue penguins are the smallest of all the
  penguins standing only 16 to 17 inches
• The little blue is different from other penguins
  because there are dark blue,white

Our Penguin Poem

Little blues are fun but they never
run!! Penguins are cute but they never wear
boots. I hope well study them next year!!! The
last thing we want to say is we love
Penguins!!!!
