Key areas
  • Children feel safe in school
  • That they are given every chance to succeed in
    life
  • That they are given the very best Literacy and
    Numeracy and ICT learning opportunities
  • But life is so much more Other areas are
    covered. The whole child needs to be developed.
    Leaving Primary school should be sad

    year so that children are ready for transition
    into year 1.

  • Ends with Year 2 SATs (progress is key) NOW not
    the future
  • Home reading words and spelling
  • Reading is vital (5 minutes a day).
  • Role model hearing a reader.
  • Writing is biggest issue (nationally and in
    school) at KS 1
