One day, Al and Barty were doing some labs, and
as always Barty was goofing off. Barty knocked
over a shelf of chemicals and poor Al was hit in
the face with the falling chemical.
Bartimus was one of those guys who thought he was
cooler than cool. The kind of guy who rules
didnt apply to. Why would they? He was super
cool.

Safety Symbols

• In a science lab there are numerous chemicals, in
  both liquid, powder, and gas form.
• Most of these chemicals are very dangerous in one
  way or another
• In order to tell what the dangers of each
  chemical is, a warning system of symbols was
  developed
• You may have heard about this system before but
  you may know it as
• WHMIS
• (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)

• Could Explode if Heated

Flammable and Combustible Material

• Highly flammable
• Could cause a serious fire

Oxidizing Material

• Could ignite flammable material
• Could cause serious fire

Poisonous Infectious Material- Fatal Effects

• Immediate poisoning and possibly death
