  • What is it?

2
Science Study of the Natural World
  • things we can observe with taste, touch , smell,
    hear, and see

How many things are there in the Natural world
To study? (Click Earth to find out!)

How can there only be TWO things that science
studies in the whole universe?
Whats the MATTER?
You say you dont have the ENERGY To figure
this out?
Click on the underlined words to learn about the
TWO things in the universe!

MATTER
  • So far this year we have studied how matter
    moves!

Click on each law for a quick review!

Newtons First Law of Motion
  • Newtons 1st Law matter at rest will remain at
rest, and matter in motion will travel in a
straight line at a constant speed UNLESS another
piece of matter exerts an unbalanced external
    force on it.

Click on the matter we call a bowling ball to
exert an unbalanced force on it.

Newtons 2nd Law
  • Newtons 2nd Law says that matter with more mass
has more force than matter with less mass. It
also says that matter with more speed has more
force than matter with less speed. You know why
Baylor has more force than Oklahoma? Click on the
    Baylor runner to see why!

BAYLOR HAS MORE MASS AND SPEED! Sicem Bears,
Beat OU!

Newtons 3rd Law
  • This law states that every action has an equal
and opposite reaction. If you have ever stepped
off a small boat that has not been properly tied
to a pier, you will know exactly what this law
means. What happens when the mans foot (matter)
pushes on the boat (matter) to run and jump?
