Title: The Hidden Pavilion

1
The Hidden Pavilion
  • For in the time of trouble he shall hide me
in his pavilion in the secret of his tabernacle
shall he hide me he shall set me up upon a rock.
  • PSALM 275

The Hidden Pavilion
  • For we know that if our earthly house of
this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a
building of God, an house not made with hands,
    eternal in the heavens.
  • For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to
be clothed upon with our house which is from
    heaven
  • For we that are in this tabernacle do groan,
being burdened not for that we would be
unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might
    be swallowed up of life
  • Therefore we are always confident, knowing
that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are
    absent from the Lord
  • (For we walk by faith, not by sight)
  • We are confident, I say, and willing rather
to be absent from the body, and to be present
with the Lord. IICor. 5 1-8

Our dwelling Place
  • PSALM 90
  • A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast
been our dwelling place in all generations.
  • Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever
thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even
from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Our dwelling Place
  • So teach us to number our days, that we may apply
    our hearts unto wisdom.
  • O satisfy us early with thy mercy that we may
rejoice and be glad all our days.
  • Make us glad according to the days wherein thou
hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have
    seen evil.
  • Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy
    glory unto their children.
  • And let the beauty of the LORD our God rest upon
us and establish thou the work of our hands upon
us yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
