watch it fade in slowly between the two poitns!!

8
  • To fade it back out you know what to do
  • Scrub to the end of the clip
  • Insert keyframe
  • Drag down to the bottom, zero

9
Just a side note
  • If you want the title (or video or anything) to
stay up awhile, youll want a fourth keyframe
with points 2 and 3 both set to 100 or full
opacity/visibility (more of a plateau than an
    upside down V)

10
Add a Picture on a Title
  • Draw a shape for the picture using the shape tool
  • At right under Object Style, click Rectangle and
choose Logo instead (notice Logo shows up where
    the shape was)
  • Click the Logo Bitmap box and then browse to find
    your image

11
Tada!
12
Remove White Background From Image
  • If youve created a title with a logo and its
one color, you might want to get rid of the color
    and just have the logo
  • Click the video/title and then under Effects
(Project window) choose Video Effects and RGB
Difference and drag it onto the clip

13
Ugh
  • Yeah, that turned out fuzzy
  • Quick fix in the Effect Controls window
  • Increase Similarity until the white all goes
    away

14
Snapshot a Frame
  • Drag to the exact spot of the picture/frame you
    want of the video
  • Click File, Export, Frame
  • Save it and it will end up in your Project window
so you can add it to the timeline

15
Closing Credits (Title Roll)
  • Change Title Type to Roll
  • Create a text box that is bigger than the visible
screen and type the stuff in

16
Then
  • Click the Roll Options button
  • Check Start Off Screen and End Off Screen
  • DO NOT let the top part hang off the top edge
    (like this onebad!)

17
Crawling Title (like emergency scroller)
  • Same as the previous one just pick Crawl instead
    of Roll
  • When doing the text box, make it start at left
and go past the right margin as far as you need
  • Dont forget to set options to start/end off
    screen! ?

video clip (where it should be faded out to black
    all the way)
  • Click Add/Remove Keyframe button to put a diamond
    at the end spot
  • Click that ending keyframe
  • Drag the opacity down to zero!

21
Bringing in Images
  • If you have an image in Photoshop (for example)
that you have cut out and made transparent AND
saved as a PSD format, you can bring it in and it
    will be awesome!
  • Notice this pic is way too bigcovers the whole
    video

22
Resize
  • To resize his big ol head
  • In Effect Controls, choose SCALE and lower the
number (this is set to 20)

23
Motion Keyframing the Bouncing Head
  • Activate the Motion section and Position for
Effect Controlsclick the clock or the diamond to
    put in a keyframe

24
Next
  • Now, scrub the timeline to the point where you
know you want the head to move to (its
following the person, or leading, rather)
  • Add a keyframe
  • Click and drag the head to a new location (it
will automatically alter the position setting)
  • If you scrub now, youll see the head move from
point A to point B!! Yeah!! You can keep going
and add more (lots more) keyframes to make it go
all over the place, jump around, etc.

25
Fade Out Audio
  • Click on an audio line (zoom in)
  • Click the little no sign button to Show Clip
Volume and youll see a little yellow audio line
    appear
  • Move the scrubber to where you want the audio to
start fading out and click the keyframe button

26
Almost done fading
  • When you clicked to add a keyframe, a dot
appeared. Scrub to the end and insert another
    keyframe (to the SILENCE! Point)
  • At the ending keyframe, drag the dot all the way
down so it is 0 dB (silence) and it should
gradually fade from dot 1 to dot 2! ?

27
Bonus Strange Thing
  • Say you wanted some little video going on during
the big video that is in a shape of some sort.
  • Well, first, create a title of that shape (big)

28
  • Drag the title on a video line and then turn the
eyeball off (you dont really want that big white
circle, you just need its shape)
  • Put the video you want IN the shape on a line
higher than the big video and
    resize/reposition that video using the
    motion/scale options in Effects Controls

29
  • Now, drag a Track Matte Key (Video Effects) onto
    the baby clip
  • Then, expand the Track Matte Key control and set
Matte to the video line of the circle (the one
with the lack of eyeball going on)

30
Tada!
