Title: Runnymede Swim Club
1Runnymede Swim Club
Revised Fees for 2008 / 2009 All Squads
2WELCOME
- Firstly on behalf of the committee, may we
thank you all for attending this meeting
- The review of the annual and monthly fees is
never an easy or pleasant task
- The results of each years review are always
carefully considered by the committee members and
it is important that the results are relayed to
you as paying parents
- Additionally, we all have concerns regarding the
Credit crunch and its impact on our family
finances and this has highlighted the need for
greater communication in this mater of club fees
hence the meeting
3Club Fees
- There are 2 aspects of the fees that need to be
considered and reviewed separately - 1 . The ASA membership.
- 2. The Club Fees
- The ASA fees are set and imposed upon the club by
the ASA.
- The ASA have raised their fees for 2008/2009 and
the increases are Category 1 (Those of you with
a pink form) 10.75 and Category 2 ( or
those of you with a blue form) 26.00. These are
included on a schedule and will be handed out
later
- Much of the increase this year will be used to
assist in the funding of various schemes
throughout the country and also provide
facilities for the Olympics in 2012
- The ASA also provides the formal insurance cover
for your children whilst training and competing
for RSC.
4- It is a requirement of the ASA that we implement
strict policies to ensure that all children are
insured to swim at all times.
- We are sure that you will agree with the
Committee that the safety and well being of your
child is a primary concern and that it would be
unreasonable for anyone to argue that their child
should not fully insured at all times
- The committee does not have any input or
discretion in deciding the level of ASA fees
- The ASA fee's are payable annually and must be
paid by 31st December 2008. Without these fees we
cannot allow your child to enter the pool
- Obviously the last thing we want to do is to
discourage anyone from swimming, but we cannot
apply discretion when it comes to the safety of
the swimmers, poolside assistants and coaches

10- We trust that you will understand that
implementing a revised structure is never an easy
task and it is not a decision that the Committee
ahs taken lightly -
- The revised monthly fees for the year 2008/2009
have been agreed at a number of Committee
meetings and these fees take into account the
recently revised training schedules -
- However the committee are pleased to announce it
has agreed a reduction from the originally
proposed fees, in both annual and monthly fees
taking on board the current financial climate as
we recognise that at these times, any additional
cost to the family unit may prove difficult. -
- The committee has also agreed to defer the
changes to the monthly fees until 1st December
2008. Therefore, please make the appropriate
changes to your standing order well in advance. -
- These reductions and concessions have been made
possible by the continued fund raising efforts we
have all made as a club over the year. -
