Introduction
  • You graduated from college 3 years
  • ago with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Travel
    Administration. You have spent the past few years
    working for a small company as a Travel Agent.
  • You have grown tired of working for someone
    else and have contacted a few of your old
    classmates. You and your classmates have just
    decided to open your own travel agency.

Task
  • One of your first tasks for your new agency is
    to create a brochure advertising a vacation to a
    popular tourist destination. To create this
    brochure you will be using internet resources to
    find information on this destination.

Getting started
  • You will be working on this project for the next
    13 days. Each day you will be introduced to the
    days activity with a Short PowerPoint
  • Lets get Started!!

Day 1
  • Come up with a travel agency name with your group
    and fill out the Agency Information Worksheet
  • Decide on a country to research (Any European
    country works well for this project, China,
    Japan, South Korea, Most South American
    countries, larger African countries. Countries
    that DO NOT work well small countries, third
    world
  • countries, Caribbean Islands, any
  • country that the US is in conflict with)

  • Check sample and rubric to make sure project is
    complete

  • Proofread your brochure checking with the sample
    and rubric
  • When confident the project is complete see the
    teacher to print
