professional development training opportunity for
faculty, staff and administrators from across the
CCC system. - CCC Confer Meetings are as simple as using a
telephone and a computer. It's easy, it's free,
and it works! - You will be trained to use CCC Confer as a
Participant and Presenter. Learn from your desk
using your computer and a telephone as you are

8CSU OPTIONS, Two-way Videoconferencing
- The CSU system can link
- all 23 campuses together for a single meeting
- a combination of CSUs and community colleges
- Scheduling is best on Friday afternoons or
off-peak academic days - CSU two-way video rooms usually rent for 150 per
hour per site. - A three hour videoconference with 23 sites would
cost 10350 plus coordination and overhead costs.
9CSU OPTIONS, Satellite Teleconferencing
- Teleconferencing can be a very cost effective way
to disseminate information to geographically
dispersed audiences. - Satellite signals can be sent to
- county school offices.
- Community colleges
- CSU campuses
- CSU, Chico over the past 20 years has uplinked
over 100 specialty programs including in-service
training for teachers, health-care providers and
hazardous waste professionals. - A satellite transmission could reach hundreds of
sites in California. - The program could be recorded and the videotapes
distributed to appropriate agencies.
