• The book is written by an autistic boy called
  Christopher.
• His mother is thought to be dead so he lives with
  his father.
• It starts with him discovering the murder of his
  next-door neighbour's dog.
• He is intrigued by this and starts his own
  investigation.
• He records everything he finds out in this book.

• He is the narrator and main character.
• He is the generic detective of the story.
• He is autistic so he finds it hard to understand
  other people a lot of the time.

  them.

Ed Boone

• He is Christophers dad.
• He tries to look after Christopher as best as he
  can but sometimes he can make the situation worse
  e.g. Making Christopher feel upset or angry.
• He doesnt want Christopher to try and find out
  who killed Wellington (the murdered dog).

• Christopher has a photographic memory so there is
  a map of the station in the book.
• There are many signs in the station and
  Christopher can remember each one of them. He
  writes them down

• However, there are too many signs for his brain

  because there are so many different things to
  think about. He finds this very hard and
  stressful because he is Autistic. His brain works
  more like a computer than a mind.
