    quality must be HIGH.

    strategy. Dialogue is needed.

How PETROMAKS make a difference for Petroleum
research in TTA2?
  • Competence building ph.d and post.docs
  • Stimulate companies, universities and research
    institutes to carry out petroleum research
  • Stimulate to cooperation between academia and oil
    companies through public funding
  • Long term and basic research. It takes often
    15-20 years from a good idea to
    commercialization.

Overall challenges for PETROMAKS
  • New talents
  • More high risk projects/ game changers versus
    incremental projects
  • Are the PETROMAKS money important for the
    research in the companies?
  • Many projects evaluated as excellent and very
    good do not get funding because of the budget
    situation
