Non-Structural Retrofitting

• Securing and relocating objects in a room so that
  they do not cause injury in an earthquake.

• Other objects sliding and falling

• Solution
• Light sleeves
• Earthquake straps (heavy-duty Velcro straps)
• Bolt and bracket to wall or earthquake straps
• Crimp hooks so that screens wont fall or hook to
  wall
• Screw into stud and use adhesive (quake putty or
  ties)
• Use non-slip material (quake matting) or adhesive
  so that objects dont slide, and/or move to a
  less hazardous (i.e. lower) location
