2Overall aim of the Agency
- To support the Council and the Member States in
their effort to improve European defence
capabilities in the field of crisis management
and to sustain the ESDP as it stands now and will
evolve in the future

technological base, and supporting the creation

- What is the Agency doing to improve the military

- Work with the pMS to address all identified
military capabilities needs - Encourage pMS to conduct capability driven
development in all future defence and capability
planning - Pursue solutions that co-ordinate pMS efforts and
exploit collaborative opportunities - Develop proposals to expand and reinforce
interoperability of EU forces at all appropriate
levels
