7Password and Security Questions
Your password must be between 6 and 14 characters
and must contain a number!
You need to answer 4 security questions and write
the response.

Make a note of your Username straight away!!
9Start Completing Your Application
Enter your user name and password in lower case.
10How are you applying?
Select through my school/college! Do not select
as an individual!!!
11Buzzword
The buzzword for GCC is greenwich2009 and must be
typed in lower case.
12Which Centre?
Click Yes to confirm that you are registering
through GCC.
13Which Tutor Group
Use the drop down box to select which group you
are in.
14Welcome
Make a note of your personal ID number
15Completing Your Application Form
- Complete all sections listed to the left of the
screen. - Help Screens Question Mark
- Select section completed box and click save
before you send your application to your
referee/tutor - A red ? will appear next to each completed
section.
16Pay/Send Link
- Pay/Send link will be available once your
application is completed. - Send your application to your referee (tutor)
- Your tutor will insert the reference
- Application fee is 1700 for more than one
choice or 700 for a single choice - Payments must be made in the Finance Office
before your application can be sent to UCAS
17Deadlines
- Applications for Oxford/Cambridge must be
received at UCAS by 15th October 2008 - Route B (Art Design) is 24th March 2009
- Your Tutors at GCC require you to complete your
application by 5th December 2008 - This will allow enough time for completion of a
reference before the relevant date.
18What to include in your Personal Statement
- Why you have chosen the course
- The reason why the subject interests you
- How your current or recent studies relate to the
course that you have chosen - Why you want to go to university
- Details of jobs, work placement especially if it
is related to the course - Hobbies, interests and social activities that
that demonstrates your skills
19How to provide your Personal Statement
- You can enter up to 4,000 characters (this
includes spaces) or 47 lines of text (this
includes blank lines) - Word Offline
- Features such as Bold, Italic, Underline will be
removed when you copy and paste into Apply - Remember to save it when you enter it directly
into Apply

- Responsibilities Sending to UCAS
- Allow enough time for your university to consider
your application - Late applications will only be considered if they
still have vacancies for the course - Most courses begin in September, some have
earlier start days, which can start as early as
January
