CERAMIC COMPOSITE ENGINEER
The Ceramics group at United Technologies
Research Center (UTRC) is seeking an engineer
with 3 to 5 years of industry experience to work
in the areas of ceramic matrix composites (CMC)
and structural ceramics development and
applications engineering. Focus areas will
include SiC fiber reinforced SiC (SiC/SiC)
composites, silicon nitride, and silicon carbide
structural ceramics. The ideal candidate would be
familiar with ceramic composite processing
methods, composite fiber architectures and
weaving of ceramic fibers, characterization and
mechanical testing techniques, prototype
evaluation using sub-element rig testing,
component design, and structural analysis. An
advanced degree in ceramic engineering,
materials science and engineering, or similar
field is preferred. U.S. Citizen or Permanent
Resident status is required. Come and work with
