9- FUTURE ACTIVITY
- iLEAPSIntegrated Land Ecosystem Atmosphere
Processes Study - Addressing the following key questions
- How do interacting physical, chemical, and
biological processes transport and transform
energy and materials through the land-atmosphere
system? - What are the implications for the dynamics of the
Earth System? - How did the terrestrial ecosystem-atmosphere
system function under pre-industrial conditions,
and how are current and past human activities
influencing it (and vice versa)? - To what extent does the vegetation optimise its
physical and chemical environment on various
temporal and spatial scales?
10Graduate School/CBACCI
- The Graduate School consists of two Nordic
Centres of Excellence - Nordic Centre for Studies of Ecosystem Carbon
Exchange and its Interactions with the Climate
System - BACCI
11CBACCI
- Report our activities and experience by the end
of the graduate school and twice in between - Invite pedagogic experts (2-3) to review our
graduate school - Organises courses and seminars for less
experienced supervisors on how to supervise, in
particularly considering supervision within
international networks - Organise post doc education
- Improve and expand our International and
multinational supervising - Include Baltic and Western Russian contributions
- Organise workshops, seminars with a broader
perspective than previously within NAD
